Mrs. T. Paden’s Community Service Club is excited to lead this year’s Operation Christmas Child project! Students and staff are invited to help make a difference by donating items to fill shoeboxes for children in need around the world.
One of the most meaningful parts of this project is that we’ll be able to track where our shoeboxes are shipped, allowing our school community to see the global impact of their kindness.
Please bring all donated items to Mrs. T. Paden’s classroom by this Friday, November 21st by 8:00am.

Students in our Discover Your Future classes visited North Bend State Park today to learn about the Hospitality & Tourism career cluster right here in WV. They heard from the assistant superintendent, park manager, naturalist, and trail coordinator. Finally, students had the opportunity to participate in a scavenger hunt or a trail hike. Thank you to Tyler County Schools for allowing us this opportunity! #KnightsPride
Tomorrow, Friday, November 14, we would like to encourage all students and staff wear blue to help raise awareness for World Diabetes Day!
Students in Mr. Emch’s ELA 8 class kicked off their persuasive writing unit with a creative twist. When they arrived, their chairs were “on strike,” and the only way to get them back was to write a persuasive paragraph. Students worked hard to develop strong reasons and explanations for why their chairs should return. By the end of class, every student succeeded, and the chairs were back in action!
Ms. McGinnis’ 7th grade scientists put their curiosity to work today with a hands-on experiment exploring erosion and the power of rainwater. Students observed how water shapes our world and tested real-world effects through interactive models! #KnightsPride

Reminder: Tomorrow is Silver and Black Friday!
Today, our school had the honor of hosting a special Veterans Day assembly organized by Mrs. Price. We were joined by several local veterans who shared lunch with our students before being recognized during the assembly. The program featured heartfelt performances from our choir and members of the TCMS band, as well as moving presentations by members of our National Junior Honor Society. It was a meaningful event full of gratitude and reflection as we came together to honor those who have served our country! 🇺🇸
Mrs. Myers sixth grade classes converted periodic tables into game boards today. The game allowed students to practice interpretting information found on the periodic table.
This afternoon, we celebrated our annual Halloween Games with friendly competitions and school spirit. Each grade level participated in a series of 10 Halloween-themed games, with representatives from every advisory class joining in the excitement. The results came down to the wire, with 8th grade taking 1st place, 7th grade earning 2nd, and 6th grade finishing in 3rd. It’s been a great week of academic field trips, a football championship, and celebrations to wrap up the first nine weeks of school. We’re proud of our students’ hard work and energy, and ready to keep the momentum going strong as we continue into the second nine weeks on Monday! #WorkHardPlayHard #KnightsPride
