The winning team at yesterday's First Annual LKC MS Golf Scramble was composed of TCMS eighth graders Cade Heintzman and Lincoln Goode along with seventh graders Hunter Rocchio and Connor Yost. They shot three under par, 31, for nine holes at the Sistersville Country Club.
A team from Pleasants Middle School was second, while another TCMS team placed third. That team was composed of Jaxon Murray, Chase Judge, Xavier Livingston, and Kolten Reed.
Players from six LKC schools played in yesterday's inaugural scramble. The high school golf teams have enjoyed a scramble early in the season plus the LKC Championship at the end of the season for more than 30 years. But this was the first LKC MS Scramble.
One of the players from the winning team summed up the day: "I think that's the most fun I've ever had playing golf!"
The first LKC MS Golf Championship will be held October 7 at Sistersville Country Club.
Congratulations, TCMS Golfers!
